"~ One of the best coffee shops in Edmonton, so far. This coffee shop deserves more hype. It has two floors and suitable for all group sizes. The atmosphere is pretty nice - when it's not crowded you can chill here for hours... Checked out their new seasonal peppermint mocha and it is REFRESHINGLY good... so festive and the coffee art made my day They are also known for their cinnamon knots and I recommend you should get that instead of their other desserts/pastries. Overall, I had a great time studying here. Thank you for your hospitality!"

"really y nice decore, nice staff, good drinks and food options. I love how the sun rays enter the cafe. the up stair area is more for studying with plenty plugs areas. downstairs, only the counter can be used for laptops. have to try the banna chocolate muffins so soft and tasty"

"I love this coffee shop since it is close to my children's daycare. The coffee, food, and service at this location never disappoint, and the layout is fantastic. It is well thought out for plugging away on some work projects due to the thoughtful plug-ins. The one HUGE con (my reason for only 4/5 stars), is that the parking availability in this area is abysmal. Unless you can get one of the few spots next to the coffee shop or across the street, there is ZERO parking, since every street in that area is resident parking only. Especially lately, with the construction of a new condo next door, the construction/construction workers take up a majority of the very limited parking. It is also not allowed to park in the school parking lot next door. I would frequent this location much more if there were a few more parking spaces available. I understand the rationale, since most who frequent this location would be U of A students who probably take transit. Unfortunately, for those of us working professionals who must use a vehicle for work/family/life, it is enough of a deterrent that I normally have to go to other (less convenient) locations or other coffee shops that have more accessibility. I will keep coming on the off chance that I can find a coveted parking spot!"

"Cute little coffee shop with excellent service. Stopped in for a snack and grabbed a breakfast sandwich. It was reasonably priced and I asked for him to crispy up the bacon before throwing the sandwich on the panini grill. The sandwich is delicious a d the bacon perfectly crisped!"

"What an amazing new coffee spot! Beautiful high ceiling, industrial vibe to the space. Great baristas pulling tasty shots and pouring coffees with complex flavors. The Anecdote beans that they roast - some great variety of characters - interesting profiles to savor. Loved the breakfast sandwich and the cinnamon knot. Recommend!!!"

"Square 1 Coffee is such an adorable coffee shop with great natural light!! It’s close to the UofA which makes it perfect for a quick study break. The drinks are delicious, I especially love their salted caramel syrup in my drinks. There’s a second floor with a nice seating area as well. It can get crowded during peak times, so time it right if you’re wanting to stay."
